Luigi Ganna began racing in 1905. The talent of the young athlete from Induno Olona was immediately evident and he would win numerous races: In 1909 he won the first edition of the Giro D’Italia and the Milano San Remo. With the earnings from the races he bought a house and a workshop where he began to build bicycles with his own brand. In 1914 he left racing to dedicate himself full time to the new activity and, subsequently, to the setting up of a racing team obtaining numerous victories, among all the most prestigious being that of the Giro d’Italia in 1951 with Fiorenzo Magni.
