Legnano is the brand that can boast the most successes in cycling races. In 1908, management passed to Emilio Bozzi, who already owned the Frejus and Perla brands. Throughout the 1940s and 1950s, it was Bianchi’s fiercest rival, both commercially and in competition. The greatest champions raced for Legnano, including Binda (three-time World Champion), L. Guerra, and G. Bartali—as well as Fausto Coppi at the start of his career, and Ercole Baldini (World Champion and Hour Record holder).
The bicycle presented here is in a good state of preservation, featuring its original paint and chrome. It is complete with all its original components.
It is equipped with a Campagnolo Gran Sport derailleur system. The crankset and hubs are also Campagnolo Gran Sport, while the pedals and handlebar stem bear the Legnano mark.
